We're currently seeking both Junior and Senior Optics/Photonics Researchers. Could one of these roles be your dream job?

1. Junior Optics and Image Processing Researcher

This is an incredible opportunity for emerging talent to kickstart a career in a dynamic research and development environment.

Your Role will involve:

• Supporting the design and simulation of optical/optomechanical systems.

• Developing scripts for image processing and analysis (under supervision).

• Participation in the assembly and characterisation of optical prototypes.

• Collaboration in the writing of technical documentation and scientific papers.

• Assistance in laboratory management (inventory, data organization).

We're looking for someone with:

• A BSc degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields.

• Basic simulation software knowledge (e.g., Zemax, COMSOL), or a keen interest in learning.

• Basic scientific programming knowledge (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar).

• A strong motivation for research and technological development, initiative to propose creative solutions, and an ability for self-learning and teamwork.

• Proficiency in English is also desirable.

2. Senior Optics/Photonics Researcher & Technological Development

Are you an experienced professional ready to lead and innovate? This role offers the chance to drive advancements in complex optical systems.

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Advanced design of optical and optomechanical systems for specific applications.

• Developing sophisticated image processing algorithms (reconstruction, AI, calibration).

• Construction and validation of prototypes (assembly, metrological testing).

• Significant knowledge generation, including participation in competitive projects and technology transfer, writing scientific papers (Q1/Q2), and supporting patent writing.

We're looking for someone with:

• A BSc, MSc, or PhD in Physics, Optical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields.

• Proven technical experience in:

◦ Design of optical/optomechanical systems (e.g., Zemax, Code V, LighTools or similar).

◦ Development of image processing algorithms (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++).

◦ Prototyping and experimental validation (optical assembly, characterisation).

• A strong research background demonstrated by publications in indexed journals, patents, or active participation in conferences.

• An innovative, problem-solving mindset, the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, and autonomy to lead technical projects are highly desirable.
